Trouble E-mailing?

Have you ever tried clicking on an e-mail address, and either getting an error message, or an e-mail program opens that you don't recognize?

When clicking on e-mail addresses on websites, you must have a computer based e-mail program. Outlook Express, or Incredimail, are common ones. Any computer running Windows, has Outlook Express installed. When you click on those addresses, it opens Outlook Express by default. But, if it is not set up, the e-mail you think you have sent, has gone no where. Unfortunately, that program doesn't tell you that, so you think it went through.

If you are using a web based e-mail like Yahoo, or Hotmail, it cannot be set up in Outlook. You will need to login to your e-mail account, and either copy and paste the e-mail address, or type it in to the "To:" field of a fresh e-mail. If you clicked on the e-mail address, and noticed the subject line was filled in, try to remember to make that the subject of your e-mail. This makes it easier for the recipient to spot it amongst the spam.

Finally, the other important thing to remember: Always check your Bulk or Spam folder. E-mails you may want, get lost in there all the time. If there is an e-mail in there you want, most programs offer a button, or menu option on right click. The option may say "Not Spam" or "Add to approved senders".

Thank you, and Happy E-mailing!
