QUESTIONS YOU MAY WANT TO ANSWER IN YOUR AD

·      WHAT COLOR IS THE ANIMAL? (IF YOU ARE NOT INCLUDING A PHOTO)

·      WHAT SEX IS THE ANIMAL?

·      WHAT BREED IS THE ANIMAL? IF THE ANIMAL IS A MIX, SPELL OUT THE BREEDS IN THE MIX, SOMEWHERE IN YOUR DESCRIPTION, SO THAT THEY WILL TURN UP IN OUR SEARCH FEATURE (ex: malte-poo Maltese + poodle)

·      DOES THE ANIMAL HAVE CURRENT HEALTH RECORDS? (SHOTS, DEWORMED, ETC.)

·      IS THE ANIMAL SPAYED OR NEUTERED?

·      IS THE ANIMAL TRAINED? (HOUSEBROKEN, OBEDIENCE, ETC.)

·      DOES THE ANIMAL HAVE ANY PERSONALITY TRAITS A BUYER SHOULD BE AWARE OF? (GETS ALONG WITH CHILDREN OR OTHER ANIMALS, AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIORS, ETC.)

·      HOW OLD IS THE ANIMAL?

·      ARE YOU WILLING TO MEET SOMEWHERE TO SHOW THE ANIMAL, SHIP THE ANIMAL, OR REQUIRE VIEWING AND PICK UP AT THE ANIMALS RESIDENCE?

·      IS THE ITEM NEW OR USED, IF IT IS USED, WHAT CONDITION? (PET SUPPLIES)

IMPORTANT:

When writing your ad, try to keep it simple. Just the facts. Too much information means too much to read. This causes buyers to scan over your ad and lose interest.

Photos: Try to be creative, the cuter the photo, the more likely to grab a buyers interest. View our page on taking good photos: "Photo Tips". Photos should be updated weekly. Babies change a lot in a week. Buyers want to know what they are getting today, not 2 weeks ago.

If you have written your ad for a litter, or an animal with odd markings, we now offer additional photos which can be purchased on the "place an ad" page.

Finally, I highly recommend using your phone number AND your e-mail address in your ad. Most online shoppers prefer to communicate by e-mail, and then follow up with a call.

The sellers who update photos and descriptions weekly, and as animals sell, have the highest success rate. Internet shoppers want to see exactly what they are getting today. After a few days, your ad will go stale.
